04 Apr 2010 - Support extended for users with Cognos Planning 8.1

Customers who are running Cognos 8.1 Planning Analyst and / or Contributor may be pleased to know that product support for the 8.1 release of Cognos Planning has been extended to April 30th 2011 providing additional time to plan upgrades whilst still receiving product support.

Upgrading is still recommended for all customers to get the most out of the updated product versions.

Current product support is expiring on a number of IBM Cognos product releases as of 31-Mar-2010, the following products are affected:

• Cognos 8 BI Analysis 8.2
• Cognos 8 BI Analysis for Excel 8.2
• Cognos 8 BI Reporting 8.2
• Cognos 8 Go! Mobile 8.2
• Cognos 8 Go! Search 8.2
• Cognos 8 Controller 8.2
• Cognos 8 Metrics Manager 8.2
• Cognos 8 Planning 8.2

Customers using Cognos 8.2 release products are strongly urged to upgrade to IBM Cognos 8.4 products.
